This site shows the collection of fine art pencil drawings of houses, buildings and barns by Jeff Clements.  Thus he has created Pencil House. His focus is on dilapidated structures depicting their beauty, serenity as well as their majesty though others may have viewed them previously as run down eyesores.  He retains their basic architecture but has omitted all debris and clutter from the landscape scene in order to expose their unblemished beauty.

Inspirations for the Drawings
Throughout his travels Jeff Clements frequently noticed abandoned, run down structures- their melancholy and at the same time, magnificence. Some would probably view these structures as eyesores or unsightly nuisances. Yet Jeff realizes that in each of these structures, active families had been born and raised, laughed and cried, lived and died in these dwellings- at one time.  Even now, looking at these structures, he can imagine the happiness and gloom, the celebrations and perhaps tragedies that occurred within the four walls of the dwelling. For these homes had been proudly built in an earlier era, when homes housed under one roof, generations of family members- newborns to grandparents, plus beloved pets and animals.  Today, although the occupants have long since gone on, something of their spirit remains within the walls.  It is this spirit that Jeff respectfully, almost reverently revives in his pencil drawings of the homes.
